JOHN BERRY (Chairman of Jury, Film Director)

Born in New York, USA, 1917, a dedicated director, screenwriter, actor and producer. He joined Orson Welless Mercury Theater Troupe in 1937. He had his first acting role in "Julius Caesar" and also worked as a stage manager. In 1943, he followed Welles into the film industry and made his debut film <Miss Susie Slagle's> in 1945. But Berry's Hollywood career was cut short by the House American Committee hearings into Communist party influence in the film industry. He left for France where he has lived ever since. He never give up film making in the madness of 1950s. We admire his career, and install him Chairman of Jury with respect.

Nobuhiko Obayashi

He was given his nickname, OB in the 70s, when he was directing some commercials with Kirk Douglas and Charles Bronson. They had difficulty with his last name, so they shorted it to "OB." After Ishiro Honda's death in 1993, Obayashi included his photograph in his film Samurai Kids, as the family's late grandfather. Obayashi is well known as a "TV talent" (guest celebrity) on Japanese talk shows, game shows, and commercials.

Manuel Gomez

Born in Belgium, 1956. Mainly, he showed his sincere interests in making independent or experimental films. <Peccato> is his first feature film. Now he is working as plastic artist, film director and producer. Since he released <The Little Red>, he has been fascinated by the ability of animations. He is recognized with his unique style in the independent films. For example, his film <The Very Important Image> is recorded as the shortest film in the world history of cinema.

Clara Law

Born in Macao. She graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a degree in English Literature. From 1982 to 1985, She studied film directing and writing at the National Film and Television School in England. Her graduation film, < They Say the Moon Is Fuller Here>, Àçn the Silver Plague Award at the Chicago Film Festival in 1985. She returned to Hong-Kong the same year. AMong her works, <Erotique> is well-known to Koreans. She also directed <Floating Life> (1996), <The Goddess of 1967>(2000) and <Letters to Ali>(2004).

Ahn Sung-ki

Born in 1952, He has performed from childhood. <Fine Windy days(1908)> is his first acting as an adult. He was a most important actor after 1980's Korean Cinema. His filmography is identical with the list of important Korean Cinema history; <Mandala(1981)>, <Deep Blue Night(1984)>, <Warm it was that Winter(1984)>, <The Age of Success(1998)>, <North Koreas Southern Army(1990)>, <Two Cops(1993)>, <Silmido(2003)>, <Arahan Jangpung Daejakjeon(2004)> and so on. Now he is respected as one of the representative faces of Korea.
