PiFan has introduced new and dynamic movies produced in and out of the country to the audience thus serving as a stepping stone for young movie producers to grab the attention of the global movie world. PiFan has enjoyed with various movie organizations such as the European Fantastic Film Festival Federation(EFFFF), Yubari international Fantastic Film Festival, and is now regarded as the biggest genre film festival in Asia.
Today PiFan is about to take its 12th step forward. It has always promised love, fantasy and adventure as theme of the movie to audiences, and PiFan 2008 is ready to reveal its stable and upgraded stance by means of the list of the movies on the show and the overall operation of the festival.
PiFan's sepcial love for the tranditional fantastic genre such as horror, thriller, Si-Fi will continue this year, enchanting the film manias with a number of fantastic movies from all over the world. In addition, it will bring a widened movie experience and pleasure to the audiences by means of diversified movies like comedy, romance, action and animations. PiFan loves to share the 'fantastic' aspect of the movie, whice characterizes it from the beginning and the depth of genre movies.
The special exhibition and the retrospective exhibition have earned PiFan much credit for its wonderful exhibitions. This year they will introduce new producer and their works that you can meet only at PiFan. A happy, provocative and dangerous imagination, from the representative movie producers in Asia to the golden age of Korean film, awaits the audience.
A number of theaters, special space for the exciting film festival and various events will be prepared for Puchon citizens and PiFan manias. All the participants will be satisfied with all the process of ticketing for the movie to the debate for their options on the movie after the show.
Also the space and events for the movie producers such as the industry screening, which reaped a valuable result last year despite its small scale, will be expanded and serve as a chance to promote Korean movies and the circulation of Asian movies.
For a better festival with much pleasure as usual, PiFan 2008 will commence on July 18.
